The session brought together senior customs officials, digital certificate authorities, leading exporters, freight forwarders, and logistics industry stakeholders. Technical presentations covered the integration of electronic signatures under the Electronic Transactions Act, digital document submission protocols, streamlined clearing procedures, and automated risk management frameworks designed to reduce clearance latency and transaction costs for Sri Lankan traders. Officials demonstrated the step-by-step procedure for utilizing digital signatures within the ASYCUDA World platform, emphasizing enhanced security, non-repudiation, and 24/7 cross-border compliance. The Chamber reaffirmed its commitment to advancing trade facilitation through end-to-end paperless workflows and modernized institutional digital infrastructure.
